Piran waterfall is located near Shalan village, 9 km from Sarpolezahab in Kermanshah province. With a height of about 100m, it flows down from a huge rock. At its side are the ruins of Yazdegerd palace, which dates back to the Sassanid Era. Mountain climbers visit the beautiful attraction every year to climb down the rocks.
Travel 9 km from Sarpolezahab towards Shalan village and a 15-minute walk will take you to the waterfall. There are two ways to reach it. The first is a path that leads to the foot of the waterfall, which runs from the north of Sarpolezahab towards Piran village. After turning the village, it ends up in a parking spot in the east. From this point on to the waterfall, a distance two-thirds of which is now well paved, it is about a 1500 m walk.
Another path passes by Rijab and ends up near Zhalge village at the top of the rocks overlooking the fall, where there is a spectacular view of the fall.
